The next thing to do would be to run a dehumidifier to eliminate moisture in the air. Then wash the surface with an antimicrobial cleaner. Mold is better known for its bad implications. Allergy to it is nothing compared to the negative impact of mold reactions, which refers to toxins and infection.

Toxins :  ‘Toxigenic’ or ‘toxic molds’ create toxic substances when they grow in our homes. But the mold itself is not toxic. In actual fact it can produce toxins some of the time, and when it does, people inhale mold dust or get exposed to them through touch.
However, the toxin as a chemical only harm the surface of our bodies, not affecting the internal part. In rare cases where mold grows in our bodies, that is infection.

Another type of mold infection is the eye infection caused by one Fusarium species which can contaminate contact lens solution. Although not common, when such infection happens, the situation can be severe and blindness may result.
